What's new in SurveyOptic

Here's a quick update on some changes and improvements we've made to the platform:

• Manage your profile security settings in the new "My Profile" page. Change your password and set up two-factor authentication (2FA) in one place.
• Reveal insights and trends with our suite of sentiment options. With two more sentiment options added to our reporting, analysts have more tools to explore the data.
• Streamlined follow-on survey flow with conditional text. Create conditional text in surveys that only reveals when a survey is a "follow-on", reducing survey re-work for follow-on surveys and streamlining workflows where follow-on surveys are frequent.

• Improved support for default answers in MC "other" question types.
• Improved control over the inclusion of incomplete responses in Dashboard reporting.
• Refined surveys page interface, grouping more filter tools together under the "filters" button.
• Improved sort orders for answer filter menus.
• Clearer loading state when page is loading by pinning loading bar to the top of the page.

• Dashboards can now be separated by tabs - for dashboards which are expected to be viewed online, dashboards can now be set to a tabbed view which separates 'pages' of a dashboard into tabs which can be navigated by users.
• Facet filters are now available in dashboards. Facets can be configured in the dashboard editor to display by default, dashboard users can also add additional custom facet filters.
• Users are now warned of when they are experiencing network issues/are offline.

• Updated manager results portal module is now available:
  
  The manager results portal is a powerful way of sharing survey reporting with managers. The portal now supports custom dashboard reporting, offering a much greater variety of reporting options that managers can explore.
  
  User management of the manager results portal module has also been updated, with finer control over invite emails and editing user settings.
• A new survey copy flow has been introduced:
  
  When copying a survey, users now have the option to create a copy with no link to the original (when using a copy as a starting point for editing a new survey and no comparison is needed) or to create a copy that is linked to the original for easy comparison of data (best for follow-on surveys).
• Custom fields:
  
  Custom fields can now be added to surveys, templates, dashboards and audiences. These fields appear in the top box of these areas and include open text, date, checkbox and number formats. These fields are intended to give users more control over including data about surveys, templates, dashboards and audiences. A date for data deletion for example helps users maintain compliance with data privacy requirements.
• Improved user feedback across the platform for delete actions by including a confirm step, with instructional text, to more actions across the product such as deleting data.
• Improved importing for multi-select questions. Pipe separated formats that include leading and trailing spaces are now handled.
• Improvements to wordclouds: Wordclouds will now make better use of space with improved word packing when filtered
• Improved NPS question layout for small device screens. The NPS scale labels will now be spaced vertically to follow the NPS scale choices when displayed on small screens.
• Dynamic report now supports splitting by score. Scores are intelligently split into useful ranges which are then used when splitting by a survey score.

• New Audiences product module is now available.
  Audiences are an effective way of storing, managing and communicating with lists of contacts that have registered interest in completing surveys or consultations. Through the audiences module, lists can easily be communicated with to notify and share links to current surveys or consultations.
  The audiences module delivers the ability to manage engagement and communications with groups of people. Users can opt-in to audiences, or groups, via a web link, or they can be imported from other systems either in bulk or individually, by a SurveyOptic administrator.
• Additional settings have been added to the respondent portal allowing for greater management of the portal:
  • Portal login and registration can both be disabled independently. These settings can be implemented at key times such as 'freeze' or 'stand-still' periods.
  • A custom "warning message" is now available to add at the top of the respondent portal to communicate important changes in service.
• A new "copy from" feature has been added to the survey, template and audience editors. This feature allows users to copy questions, sections or all question elements from a survey/template/audience into a survey/template/audience using the editor. Elements can be appended to existing content or added inbetween existing elements, offering flexible copying of content from any source into any position of a survey/template/audience.

• Dashboards can now be edited in-view. Clicking a widget that is displayed in a dashboard opens the widget editor, allowing for edits to that widget. This is a particularly useful feature for amending previously built dashboards.
• The dashboard 'picker' now includes a search function and will display dashboard descriptions upon mouse hover. This is consistent with survey and template pickers.
• Graphical reporting for 'scores' has been improved. Ranges of scores are more intelligently grouped together to make more meaningful and understandable graphs.

- Support for HTML styling has been added to the reporting of question text and reporting labels. This gives users the option to include styling such as bold or italics for these elements in reporting outputs, including the dynamic report and dashboards.

- Custom "from" address configuration for email sending has been updated to use dropdown menus from a pre-set list, minimising the chance for error and improving usability and consistency.

- Dashboard widgets can now be filtered by a range, rather than just an answer, allowing for filters based on sentiment and improving reporting options.

- Typography and visual stylings on buttons across the app have been updated to improve user experience.

- Ordering of choices in the Table report has been improved to be more consistent accross question types and with the dynamic report.
